Keeping current in the digital era

Dear QUT graduate,

Digital fitness has never been more important as the internet, social media, the Metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) change the entire digital landscape. With change comes opportunities to upskill and get ahead of competitors as we foray into the digital space – or don’t – and risk getting left behind.

This issue focuses on keeping current in the digital era and integrating digital skills and technology into all areas of enterprise and life. Just as organisations must embrace technology to transform their businesses, leaders and employees must employ new tactics to navigate modern digital landscapes and the new human-machine workforce.

As a QUT business graduate and Senior Vice President, Consumer Engagement, Analytics and Online at The Estee Lauder Companies Inc., I’ve been involved in continuous brand innovation, delivering contemporary and engaging consumer experiences. Having recently launched a collectible NFT, I am thrilled to be this month’s guest editor and eager to help you expand your digital skills and embrace digital transformation.

So how digitally fit are you?

Your guest editor,

Carolyn Dawkins BBus(Marketing)

Global Chief Marketing Officer, Senior Vice President, Clinique, The Estée Lauder Companies
Director of Friends of QUT in America Foundation, 2015 QUT Outstanding Alumni Award Business winner
